Ashish Saharia's Virtual Realm

[Bring me my Bow of Burning Gold, bring me my Arrows of desire; Bring me my Spear, O Clouds unfold, bring me my Chariot of Fire !]

Namaste ! My name is Ashish Nawal Saharia, and this is my personal homepage. Use this website to know about me, my family, my interests, my profession, and some other interesting things as well. I am an Information Technology professional, so I generally spend a lot of time with computers, and with technology in general. I like programming computers, and sometimes find myself writing code, even when I'm not required to. By the way, I think that it's perfectly acceptable to end a sentence with a preposition, and believe me, I know exactly what I'm talking about. And I also think that there's nothing wrong with beginning a sentence with a conjunction.

I was born in Bombay (Mumbai), India - on August 03, 1981 - and have been here ever since. I'm a Hindu by birth, and am really glad to be one. However, I'm not a very religous person. This sometimes leads people into thinking that I'm an atheist, but that's really very far from the truth. I'm not an atheist - I firmly believe in the existence of God. I think that believing in the existence of God is simply more logical, than being an atheist.

I'm almost always running late for things. I guess I'm one of the laziest men on the planet, but my laziness is sometimes largely responsible for sparking off some really bright ideas in my mind. It's said that necessity begets invention; maybe it does, but so does laziness.

I'm fond of Science Fiction, Photography, and Chess, among various other things. I think I'm somewhat obsessive compulsive. Some of my friends think that I'm a nerd. Most others think that I'm inscrutably weird. In any case, I'm generally fun to hang out with (or so I would like to believe). Be careful, though; I tend to get too technical, too philosophical, and too quiet sometimes....
